View online or download Exakta RTL 1000 Instruction Manual The Exakta RTL1000 was based on the Praktica L, LTL and LLC series, with an Exakta bayonet mount instead of the 42mm screw mount. It had interchangeable viewfinder heads; one of these offered TTL metering but this was a fairly crude arrangement. The Exakta RTL1000 was produced from 1969 to 1973. It was made after the Exakta business was acquired by Pentacon, the East German company responsible for the Praktica line of cameras, and there is a lot of Praktica DNA in this camera. In the early 1970s the Exakta "RTL 1000" was introduced; it accepted the older models' lenses but had its own range of viewfinders, which included a model with through-the-lens light metering.
